An Open Letter As We Prepare For 2010…
Let us start by saying, we love baseball, we love being out at the ball park and seeing all there is to see that goes into a youth baseball tournament; the coaches preparing the players, the parents arriving and setting up their gazebos, the fields being chalked and the bases being put out, the umpires walking out to the field to call the games and of course seeing the players out on the diamond.
We love it!! As our inaugural season winds down and the summer get’s closer to coming to an end, we wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. Thank you to all the players, parents, coaches and fans who helped make our debut season a success and helped get the American Baseball Association vision of Bringing’ America’s Pastime up and running.
As we enter the fall, the off-season so to speak we will be using this time to prepare for 2010. Our 1st season was a lot of fun and it was truly nice to see so many players out on the field enjoying and competing in the game. We’ve learned a lot, met a lot of great coaches with passion for the game and most importantly we were able to see countless players out playing the game they love!!!
For the Spring of 2010 we’ll be back with several new and exciting aspects, one of them being our website which we’ve temporally closed down 95% of as we build what we believe is going to be the most interactive, player dedicated, informative site ever seen in travel baseball.
On top of that we will have several new and improved fun aspects for out on the field in 2010 as well that we look forward to unveiling.
- The A.B.A. Studio that we believe players, coaches and fans alike will love!
- Player, Coach and Team Spotlights under a whole new light in giving props.
- A.B.A. Recognition that will bring the entire youth baseball community across the entire country together and make it easier than ever to know and see the status of players and teams nation-wide.
- New Classifications of play that allow more teams to play according to their talent level.
- The “Teaching the Game” Series which will be designed for both players and coaches to continue to learn the game from the Fundamentals all the way thru the highest most detailed levels.
- And the A.B.A. World Series to name a few of the exciting aspects that makes us so excited for the upcoming 2010 season!!
We’d also like to hear what you think? What have you always wanted to see from travel baseball? Is there anything that you always thought if this was done or if that was done it would make the weekend event even more fun? If you’d like to share your thoughts please feel free to do so by emailing; ideas@americanbaseballassociation.com
Again, we’d like to say thank you to everyone for your support and we look forward to seeing you and new teams in 2010… In the meantime we wish everyone the best of luck out there... both on the field and off.
